New Delhi (IANS) | President Draupadi Murmu left for Suriname and Serbia in the early hours of Sunday. On the first leg of her visit, President Murmu will hold talks with Suriname leaders and meet a cross section of the Indian diaspora in Paramaribo from June 4 to 6.
According to media reports, it is being said that this visit will further strengthen the deep ties between India and Suriname.
President Murmu has visited Suriname at the invitation of Suriname President Chandrikaprasad Santokhi. During the visit, she will have an exclusive interaction with Santokhi and will also participate in a number of activities.
Apart from this, President Murmu will visit Serbia on June 7 at the invitation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
