Janjgir-Champa. On the instructions of the High Court, 103 pressure horn modified silencers were seized by the District Police in Janjgir-Champa Dwar district. Joint action taken by traffic police, Champa police station and Janjgir police on modified silencers. Modified silencers have been seized separately from showroom Champa and Madras Royal Infield Garage Janjgir. This is a modified silencer which causes noise pollution due to which it was confiscated.
Section 102 IPC has been registered against these silencer sellers. It has been seized under Section 133 IPC. Will be presented in the Honorable SDM office under Public Nuisance. A detailed report is being sent to seize the modified silencers for destruction. Due action has also been taken by the traffic police after pressure horns were found installed in 02 trucks.
Instructions have been given by the Honorable High Court to stop noise pollution. In the same sequence, Janjgir, Champa, traffic police station of district Janjgir-Champa has taken action of confiscation against modified silencers and pressure horns under section 133 (Jaffo). Action is being taken under.
Before the Rajsat action, the modified silencers are being inspected by the pollution control engineer and the statements of the people suffering from noise pollution are being taken. Digital evidence is also being collected so that major action can be taken in this regard. As per the instructions of the High Court, a range level meeting was held on 23.01.2024 in which point wise instructions were given –
- Police station wise list should be made which should contain the details of the owner, information of DJ, presser horn, silencer and strict action should be taken against those who use DJ/presser horn against the rules.
- If the provisions related to noise pollution are being violated for the first time or for the second time, if the violation has been committed for the first time, then register it online so that the second violation is detected as soon as it occurs, because for the first time there will be a hearing in the concerned court but if the violation is found for the second time. Upon departure, there will be a hearing before the Honorable High Court. 03. Evidence should be collected from sound measuring instrument. Evidence should also be taken from videography and presented along with the related case. 04. Immediate action should be taken against vehicles modified without permission, if the vehicle is permitted and it is causing noise pollution then action will also be taken against it. Such noise polluting devices should be removed from the vehicle and strict action should be taken. If action is taken in advance against the vehicles, it will be more effective.
Janjgir Police is taking action against those who use loud noise using pressure horn/bullet silencer. Keeping noise pollution in mind, action is being taken to prevent it. During the proceedings on 23-24.01.2024, 29 nos modified silencers were recovered from the possession of the operator of Royal Enfield showroom Champa and 74 nos total 103 modified silencers were recovered from Madras Royal Enfield garage Janjgir and as per rules Section 102 JAFO. Action has been taken under. In the above proceedings, Reserve Inspector Pradeep Kumar Joshi, traffic in-charge Janjgir, Inspector Manish Singh Parihar police station in-charge Champa, Inspector Umesh Vaishnav police station in-charge Janjgir and PR Prakash Rathore, constable Shankar Rajput Makhan Sahu, Dikeshwar Sahu police station Champa had commendable contribution.
