Jagdalpur. Bodhhat Police has arrested two accused of stealing gold and silver jewelery worth lakhs. On Thursday, the police produced both the accused in the court and sent them to judicial custody.
According to the information, victim Sapna Awasthi, a resident of Vrindavan Colony, told that after breaking the locker of the house, gold and silver ornaments, a gold chain, a gold mangalsutra, four gold rings and gold lockets of nine children were found inside it. Two more pairs were found. The total value of the bracelet was around Rs 1,00,000 and a case of theft was registered and investigation was initiated. During investigation, a witness accused Awasthi Lathe’s father of theft. Sanjay Awasthi and Abhishek Rao alias Avinash, residents of Baliram Kashyap village, died. Adinarayan Rao, resident of Vrindavan Colony, was arrested and his stolen gold and silver jewelery was confiscated. The arrested accused confessed to the theft during interrogation and after action at Bodhkhat police station on Thursday, they were produced in judicial custody.
