Nabrangpur: The Nabrangpur police on Saturday conducted raid at unlicensed firecracker shops at Khatiguda area of the district and seized firecracker over worth Rs 4 lakh.
The cops raided and seized godown of one Suraj Kishan who was selling crackers at his place without any license. Following which, Rockets, tiger bombs, and some other bombs were seized.
The police have registered an FIR against Suraj Kishan for illegally selling crackers at his godown.
Meanwhile, the special squad police have seized crackers which were illegally sold without license under Kahtiguda police limits of Tentulikhunti block in Nabrangpur.
The raid was led by SDPO Krushna Chandra Bhatara on Thursday night and seized crackers worth over Rs 4 lakh from godowns.
A case number 154/24 has been registered at the Nabrangpur police station and started a probe into the matter.
