Balrampur: In Balrampur, UP, the suspicion on the wife made the husband so savage that everyone is shocked after knowing about it. The husband took the idea from a Hollywood film and killed his wife and cut the body into six pieces and threw the body parts from Balrampur to Ayodhya. One part was also thrown in the Saryu of Ayodhya. The crime was committed on August 6. After recovering some pieces of the body in two sacks on the road going to Ajabnagar Kamarihwa in the rural area, the police engaged in investigation caught the killer husband on Tuesday. Bike, mobile of the deceased, iron saw, chopper, hexa blade and electronic cutter machine used in the murder have been recovered from him.
On August 6, 2024, the personnel posted on PRD 5453 of Dial 112 informed the rural police station that two sacks filled with remains of the body were lying on the roadside. When opened, a human body was found. The post-mortem report confirmed that it was the body of a woman, a case was registered in the rural police station. To uncover the incident, an SIT team was formed under the leadership of SP Vikas Kumar, under the co-leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Namrita Srivastava and under the supervision of COCT Brijnandan Rai.
Chief Investigating Officer Kotwali Rural Inspector Durgesh Singh, Co-Investigating Inspector Satyendra Bahadur Singh, Crime Branch Incharge Ashish Kumar Singh, Surveillance and Cyber Team were deployed to uncover the incident. CCTV footage around the incident spot was searched, but the woman could not be identified. The disappearance of about 500 missing women registered in 15 districts was investigated. The result of questioning their family members was also zero.
CCTV footage was taken from Agarhwa intersection, the closest to the incident spot. In which it was seen that on the morning of August 6, a suspicious person was seen going towards the incident spot with a white sack tied on a bike. The suspicious person was traced on the basis of the footage. The suspicious person was seen from Agharwa crossing via Balrampur-Gonda road to Itiyathok Subhagpur Agrasen crossing.
The bike number of the suspicious person was also found in the CCTV footage. The bike was found registered in the name of Shankar Dayal Gupta son of Radheshyam Gupta resident of 260 Rani Bazar Badgaon Kotwali Gonda. When the house of the suspect was investigated, it was found locked. People living nearby told that the owner of the vehicle lives in the house with his wife and son. Foul smell has been coming from many days.
The surveillance team was activated as soon as the cell phone number was found. On Tuesday, the police arrested Shankar Dayal Gupta from the railway station. He had parked his bike in the joint parking. On the information given by Shankar Dayal, the iron saw, chopper, hexa blade (saw), electronic cutter machine and other items used in the incident were recovered. The mobile of the deceased was recovered in Itiyathok. The police also took his bike into custody.
Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar told that the name of Shankar Dayal’s wife was Gudiya Pandey alias Neetu Pandey. She was married to Shankar Dayal in the year 2023. Shankar Dayal had doubts about his wife’s character. There were frequent disputes between him and Gudiya. Shankar Dayal had planned to kill Gudiya on 30th July itself. On August 1, Gudiya was murdered by slitting her throat. Her body was cut into three parts with a blade and electronic cutter. On August 6, he brought two sacks and threw them in the police station rural area of Balrampur. On August 7, he took a sack and threw it under the Saryu river bridge in Ayodhya. He came back to Gonda and absconded to Lucknow.
Shankar Dayal made Gudiya’s murder after watching a Hollywood film. Just as the pieces of the body are shown being thrown at different places in the films, Shankar Dayal did the same. It is said that Shankar Dayal had already married twice. His third marriage was with Gudiya. He has a son from the first wife who lives with Shankar Dayal. The second dispute is said to have taken place in Tulsipur. The second wife left Shankar Dayal. To get rid of her, Shankar Dayal killed his third wife.
