One Naxal killed in Sukma

Sukma: Another encounter has taken place between the police and Naxalites in the Naxal-affected Sukma district. This encounter took place in the jungle-hills of village Pamlur in Bhejji police station area, in which the soldiers killed a Naxalite. The body of the killed Naxalite has been recovered, whose identity is being ascertained.

According to the information, on the information of the presence of Naxalites Konta and Kistaram Area Committee members under Bhejji police station area, a joint party of DRG, Bastar Fighter, 206 Cobra, 208 Cobra, 131 CRPF and 212 CRPF left for operation towards village Dabbakonta, Antapad Burkalnka, Pamlur, Singhanmadgu and nearby areas.

During the operation, a police-Naxal encounter took place in the jungle-hills of village Pamlur yesterday evening. In this encounter, the body of 1 male Naxalite and weapons have been recovered from the spot. Efforts are being made to identify the body of the Naxalite killed in the encounter.
