Odisha Dy CM reviews preparedness for launching of Ayushman Bharat Yojana at Bali Jatra Ground tomorrow

Cuttack: Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda will launch the much-awaited Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) for Odisha at the Lower Bali Jatra Ground in Cuttack tomorrow. Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida today reviewed the preparedness for the mega event.

As over 25,000 people are expected to gather at the Bali Jatra Ground to witness the launching of Ayushman Bharat Yojana tomorrow, the Deputy Chief Minister visited the venue today and reviewed the preparedness.

Parida also held a discussion with Cuttack District Collector, DCP and other senior officers on how the event can be held very successfully. She informed that the process of distributing this card will be expanded in all the district headquarter hospitals and primary health centres of the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister alleged that the pervious government’s scheme Biju Swastya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) was full of scam and there was no service. But there will not be any scam in the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and there will be only service.

A much-awaited dream is going to be fulfilled tomorrow, the Deputy Chief Minister said adding that health services will reach every home.

As per the schedule, cultural program at the Bali Jatra Ground will begin at 1 PM tomorrow while Union Minister JP Nadda and other invited guests will reach the venue by 2 PM and launch the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

After launching Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the Health Minister is also likely to inaugurate the new building of the Sishu Bhawan at 4.30 PM, informed Cuttack District collector.

Speaking about the security arrangements, Cuttack DCP Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo informed that 30 platoons of police force will be deployed to ensure security during the event at the Bali Jatra Ground. Arrangements for parking, traffic management, traffic restrictions, etc. have been reached its final stage, the DCP informed.
