Berhampur: The Crime Branch in Odisha filed chargesheet in the Gopalpur beach sexual abuse case today. While everyone was watching closely as to when the chargesheet would be filed in this case, the Crime Branch officer filed the chargesheet in the court today.
On the night of June 15, a college student was allegedly sexually abused in the presence of her male friend at a secluded and dark place on the Gopalpur beach.
Gopalpur police were able to arrest all 10 accused of the case, including 4 minors, within 36 hours. Considering the importance of the case, it was red-flagged and the incident was investigated by the Crime Branch’s CAW team.
CAW IG S Saini herself came to the scene and conducted a thorough investigation.
