Durg. In Bhilai and Risali Municipal Corporation areas, water supply will remain closed for two days on July 3 and 4. The municipal administration has decided to shut down due to the closure of the filter plant and repair of pipeline leakage. The corporation administration has made arrangements to supply water through tankers during this period. Along with this, people have also been appealed to store more quantity of water.
Risali Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ashish Dewangan said that due to the closure of the filter plant, taps will not open for two days in 27 wards of Risali Municipal Corporation. Drinking water will be made available through tanker as per requirement. Akhilesh Gupta, assistant engineer in-charge of the water works department said that there is a problem of leakage in the pipeline laid from Shivnath intake well to the filter plant. Therefore it will be repaired from July 3. Drinking water supply will be affected both on Monday evening and Tuesday.
