Netra Jyoti and leprosy search campaign will run for 26 days in the district

Manendragarh. Intensive leprosy search and eye light campaign has been started under the direction and guidance of collector Narendra Kumar Dugga. This program will be held from June 15 to July 10. In this program which will last for 26 days, the health staff of the district will visit every house at the field level for health check-up. All the citizens will be marked as potential patients of leprosy, eye disease, malaria and other related diseases. At the initial level, patients will be sent to higher medical institutions for operation and better treatment after examination and verification by medical officers and eye assistant officers in Primary Health Center and Community Health Center.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Suresh Tiwari said that so far 49 potential patients of cataract and 13 potential patients of leprosy have been identified in the district. A target has been set to make the entire district a leprosy-free district by identifying leprosy patients and cataract patients and treating them better. Collector Narendra Dugga has appealed to all the citizens to cooperate in the health check-up work being done by the survey team of the Health Department. Tell your problem to the staff so that better health treatment facilities can be provided.
