Negligence in government hospital, body kept soaking for 15 minutes due to overflowing of tank in hospital premises

Vidisha: Humanity was put to shame in the Government Public Hospital of Ganjbasoda in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh when the body of a youth who died in a road accident kept getting soaked with the overflow of the hospital tank for 15 minutes. When the doctors hurriedly told the staff that the body was getting wet, they took it to a safe place, but by then the body was drenched in water. Three villagers walking on foot near Amba Nagar were hit by the overturning of a loading truck. He got buried under the truck. The villagers were taken out with great difficulty with the help of JCB. All three seriously injured were brought to the Government Rajiv Gandhi Public Hospital. Doctors declared 32-year-old Dharmendra Chidhar dead on the spot. Whereas 80 year old Ganesh Ram Ahirwar was referred to Vidisha after first aid in critical condition. Treatment of the third person, Khub Singh, is ongoing. The truck driver fled from the spot after the incident. Search for him is going on The police have registered the case.
Dr. Pravendra Tiwari, BMO of Rajiv Gandhi Jan Chikitsalaya, informed about the incident. He said the injured were given immediate treatment. Even after this we could not save Dharmendra. However, Dr. Tiwari did not say anything about the body getting wet in the hospital premises. Meanwhile, Sarpanch of Ambanagar Gram Panchayat Ashok Singh Dangi said that when we reached here, the injured were given immediate treatment. Later the body was kept outside. The water tank there was overflowing. The employees neither paid attention to the overflow of the tank nor to the wetting of the dead body. When objection was lodged, the body was removed from the water.
