MP Danish Ali received a threatening call from an unknown person

New Delhi: Member of Parliament Kunwar Danish Ali has alleged that he received a threatening call at his office in Delhi, police said on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, a call was received on the landline of the MP’s office and a complaint in this regard was also lodged at Tilak Marg police station.

The complaint from Ali’s office, available with IANS, mentions that repeated calls were received on the office number between 8 and 8.30 pm on Tuesday. The call was answered by Ali’s personal secretary.

The complaint states, “The person on the phone asked if this was Danish Ali’s office. Upon confirmation by Ali’s private secretary, the caller made threats and used abusive language. We traced the caller’s number. Verified.”

“A call was received on Ali’s personal mobile phone from the same number, but the MP was busy in a meeting at that time, so it was not answered,” said the complaint submitted by Ali’s personal secretary to the police.

Meanwhile, Danish Ali, MP from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, posted on ‘X’: “How much will you scare? Yesterday someone called my office and tried to scare me and threatened to kill me! What kind of desperation is this? A” person who believes in Indian democracy cannot do this. Such anti-social elements just want me not to tell the truth! It’s a little difficult.”

A senior police officer said that they are investigating the matter.
