Morni to get a new identity; mountaineering training center and Pinjore highway improvements announced.

HARYANA: The Haryana government has made several significant announcements regarding the development of Panchkula district. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that a modern Mountaineering Training Centre would be established in the Morni region. Additionally, necessary steps will be taken to provide a permanent solution to the persistent traffic congestion on the national highway in Pinjore.

The Chief Minister noted that Morni is a prominent mountainous and tourist region in Haryana. Establishing a mountaineering training centre there will provide youth with training in adventure sports and boost adventure tourism in the state. The government aims to transform Morni into a major hub for adventure tourism, thereby creating new employment and self-employment opportunities for local residents.

He explained that the training centre could host programs covering mountaineering, trekking, rock climbing, and disaster relief. This would offer youth the opportunity to participate in activities at both national and international levels.

The Chief Minister also addressed the issue of frequent traffic jams on the highway in the Pinjore area. He stated that relevant departments have been issued necessary instructions to resolve this problem. Work will be undertaken on a long-term plan—focusing on improving road infrastructure, strengthening traffic management, and addressing future needs—to relieve the public of their daily commuting woes.

The government believes that improving traffic flow on the Pinjore highway will bring significant relief to local residents, as well as to tourists and commercial vehicles traveling to Himachal Pradesh. This is expected to reduce travel time and enhance road safety.

The Chief Minister stated that the state government is continuously working to strengthen infrastructure, tourism, and sports facilities to ensure balanced development across the state. The initiatives to establish a mountaineering training centre in Morni and improve traffic conditions in Pinjore are significant steps in this direction.

Local residents welcomed these announcements and expressed hope that work on the projects would begin soon. They believe that the implementation of these plans will accelerate the region’s development and boost tourism activities.
