Mo Bus drivers attend awareness session on road safety and safe driving habits

Bhubaneswar: In view of the rising number of accidents involving the Mo Buses, an awareness session on road safety and safe driving habits was organized for the drivers of the public transport bus service.

The Commissionerate Police and Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) joined organized the awareness session for 140 Mo Bus drivers, including female drivers, and field staff.

During the session, the drivers were urged to strictly follow speed limits, avoid reckless driving, mobile usage, and park only in designated bus way areas. Besides, they were sensitized to maintain polite behavior during any incident and inform higher authorities immediately.

Regular health check-ups for drivers and enhanced passenger assistance by female staff were highlighted during the session to ensure safer public transportation in the State Capital City.

The Police Commissioner emphasized that strict action will be taken against repeated offenders and their Driving Licenses (DLs) will be cancelled.

Police Commission Dr. S. Dev Datta Singh, Additional CP Dr. Umasankar Dash, Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra, DCP Traffic, DCP CP Headquarters, MD CRUT M. Tirumala Naik, and GM CRUT took part in the awareness session and sensitized the drivers and field staff of CRUT on road safety and safe driving habits.
