Suzuki will be offering a 10 year warranty on the battery of the Suzuki e Vitara. This will be the first electric SUV from the company that is offered globally. While most EV making companies offer a battery warranty for 8 years, some offer 10 years warranty on battery. It remains to be seen whether Maruti Suzuki is offer 10 years warranty on battery.
The electric SUV from Suzuki will be sold in global markets with two battery pack options.
The Maruti e Vitara is based on the all-new Heartect-e platform that is solely designed to be used in EVs. The e Vitara will be available with two battery options- 49 kWh unit and 61 kWh units. Both will offer LFP blasé battery that will be offered from BYD. The 61 kWh battery will offer an impressive range of up to 500km on single charge. The 49 kWh variant comes with a 144 hp motor while the 61 kWh variant comes with 174 hp unit. Both the variants will offer 189 Nm of torque. The AWD version of the SUV will be offering 184 hp of maximum power and 300 Nm of torque.
When it comes to safety of the car, the SUV will be offering Level 2 ADAS, lane keep assist, lane departure prevention, adaptive cruise control, seven airbags, 360-degree camera, TPMS, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake and AVAS.
