Maruti Brezza improves safety across its variants, offers 6 airbags as standard feature

Maruti Suzuki has improved the safety standard across variants of Brezza compact SUV. The Brezza now gets six airbags as standard across the range. To be specific, the top-spec ZXI+ trim already offered six airbags. There has also been a price hike of the SUV. The Brezza now costs Rs 15,000 more for the base variant at Rs 8.69 lakh. The top variant costs Rs 13.98 lakh.

The price hike ranges between Rs 5000 to Rs 15,000 across variants. The variants which have the least price hike are the VXI trim while the highest hike is for the LXI trim. The base LXI trim now costs Rs 8.69 lakh while it cost Rs 8.54 lakh earlier. On the other hand, the base VXI trim now costs Rs 9.75 lakh while it cost Rs 9.70 lakh earlier. Similarly, the ZXI trim starts at Rs 11.26 lakh.

The Maruti Brezza comes with a single 1.5-litre petrol engine that offers 100hp of power. In the CNG option, the SUV offers 88hp of power. This petrol variant is offered with five speed manual or six-speed torque converter gearbox. On the other hand, the CNG mode offers five speed manual gearbox.

Maruti Wagon R price hike

Maruti has hiked the price of Wagon R in India and the starting price has increased by Rs 15,000. The car is now priced starting from Rs. 5.64 lakh and the higher-end variant cost Rs. 7.47 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). The price hike varies across different trims.

The Wagon R model’s VXi 1.0 AGS, ZXi 1.2 AGS, ZXi+ 1.2 AGS, and the ZXi+ AGS dual-tone variants now cost up to Rs 15,000 more. All other variants of the car including the CNG models, have received a uniform upward revision of Rs 10,000.
