Manny and Tom make a cameo appearance as Maverick in the final cut of Top Gun

Manny Jacinto is talking about his small role in the final cut of Maverick in Tom Cruise: Top Gun. The star, who has been gaining attention for his work on The Acolyte, spoke to GQ magazine and said he trained for months to get Top Gun made, only to see that all of his scenes were left in the editing room, and that his character Fritz He briefly only appeared in the background for a few scenes.

Manny said: “It was a good thing that there was a bit of a ruckus, but I wasn’t surprised. [On set] there was a sense of where the movie was going, like I could see them focusing the camera more on these [other] guys and not, ‘We spent so much time on our scenes.
