Mancherial: The Syndicate of All India Congress (AITUC), supported by the Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham, conducted a survey in three areas of the district by the union-recognized Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), in a blow to The Indian National. Congress Affiliated to Congress Syndical (INTUC). Re-counting of votes was completed on Wednesday night. AITUC got 4,856 votes, while National Congress of Syndicates of India (INTUC) got 2,690 votes in Srirampur area. AITUC won the region by a margin of 2,166 votes. It also affected the areas of Mandamarri and Bellampalli. Mandamari constituency recorded 2,177 votes compared to 1,648 votes polled by INTUC, indicating a difference of 569 votes. The National Union won the Bellampalli constituency by a margin of 122 votes. While AITUC got 497 votes, INTUC got 375 votes. Overall, the Union got 16,224 votes against 14,102, a difference of 2,122 votes. After a gap of 16 years, the Sangh has reached this milestone for the fourth time. TGBKS, which gained status in the elections of the recognized association of large carbon companies in 2012 and 2017, extended its support to AITUC in these elections. Congressional representatives participated in campaigns in the name of INTUC, but the unions did not attract the carbon miners’ attention. Minister Sitakka said he would accept the miners’ mandate.
