Bhubaneswar: A major reshuffle occurred with as many as 208 police inspectors being transferred at a time. All the 208 police inspectors were transferred to different districts in Odisha.
Some others will be transferred to Crime Branch, Vigilance, Government Railway Police (GRP), Intelligence and in the Police training school in Angul.
Along with this, 25 police personnel have been relieved from the Commissionerate police.
While attending the Habildar, constable and sepoy programme in Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi informed that Habildar, constable and sepoy will receive one month’s salary in advance and that too according to the increased wage rate. the cycle allowances for the Habildars and constables have been increased to Rs 1000 against Rs 300. Similarly, for the uniform, shoes they will receive Rs 10,000 against Rs 5,000 earlier.
Earlier on November 24, the Odisha government effected a minor reshuffle in the OAS cadre as it gave new appointments to a total of 19 officers.
