Mahindra Thar facelift to launch in 2026, will be accompanied by XUV700: Report

The Mahindra Thar facelift will be launching in 2026 and this was reported by Autocar India. Another facelift SUV that will be launching in 2026 is the XUV700. Both the SUVs were expected to get a decent update. For those who are unknown, the Mahindra Thar was launched in 2020, while the XUV700 in 2021.

When it comes to Thar facelift, it is likely to get design change like the Thar Roxx. On the other hand, the XUV700 facelift will get some style update from the BE 6 and XEV 9e. Engine and gearbox options in the SUVs are expected to be same as earlier.

In terms of Thar facelift, it will get styling changes that are already present in the Thar Roxx. The new changes are likely to include new grille, C-shaped LED signatures and tail-lamps. Other changes include body cladding, redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheels and much more. Feature list also includes fully digital instrument cluster, infotainment touchscreen along with sunroof.

The XUV700 facelift is likely to receive design updates that are seen in the recent all-electric models- BE6, XEV 9e. The design changes are likely to include connected LED headlight setup, squared-off cladding above the wheels, updated grille design and much more. Interior of the facelift XUV700 are expected to be upgraded as well.

In terms of engine, the Thar and XUV700 facelifts will have the same engine as earlier. Thar facelift will get 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that offers 152hp output. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel offer 119hp and 132hp respectively. XUV700 facelift will get 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine. While the petrol variant offers 200hp, the diesel engine offers 155hp and 185hp respectively.
