Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to develop today. The low-pressure will mostly head towards Tamil Nadu. It will move in the west- northwest ward direction and touch Sri Lanka around December 12. The low-pressure will intensify and however, the likeliness to intensify is very less. The low-pressure will not have any impact on Odisha.
On the other hand, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are likely to receive heavy rainfall on December 11 and 12. On the coast of Andhra Pradesh also the effect of rain can be seen.
On the other hand, cold will intensify further from December 12. Two to four degrees temperature drop can be witnessed in the coming days, predicted the regional centre of Indian Meteorological Department, IMD.
Till December 12, some places of coastal Odisha and southern Odisha can receive light to moderate rainfall. The IMD also said that no rainfall will occur between December 12 and 14. Dry weather can be expected during this time.
