Ujjain: The color of Rang Panchami has spread on the devotees of Shiva in Ujjain, the city of Lord Mahakal. Devotees played Holi with Lord Mahakal at Mahakaleshwar Temple with colors prepared from Tesu flowers. During this, devotees drenched each other with colors with devotion and enthusiasm. Everyone felt immense joy. On Saturday, with the Brahma Muhurta, the festival of Rang Panchami started with much fanfare in the temple. First of all, Bhasma Aarti took place in the court of Lord Mahakal. Tesu flowers were offered to Lord Mahakal. The Lord was anointed with milk, curd, water and cannabis. After this, he was also bathed with fruit juice. During the Aarti, the priest of the temple played Holi with Lord Mahakal with Tesu flowers and saffron color. Along with the Lord, other gods and goddesses were also offered Tesu and saffron colours. After this came the turn of the devotees. They played Holi with full enthusiasm, zeal and devotion with Devadhidev Lord Mahakal. Flowers were offered to them and colors were showered on them. During this time there was a feeling of immense peace on everyone’s face. They were experiencing infinite happiness together with their Lord. It is noteworthy that in Mahakaleshwar temple, preparations are made for Holi and Rang Panchami festival 15 days in advance. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees regarding this festival. Devotees from all over the country come to Ujjain to play Holi with Lord Mahakal. Such an occasion comes once in a year, when the scene of playing Holi between the devotee and God is seen. During this time the distance between the devotees and God disappears. Temple priest Ashish Sharma said that the festival of Holi becomes more beautiful with natural colors. Every year the message of love for nature and environmental protection is given by playing Holi with colors prepared from flowers from Mahakaleshwar Temple. This time too, Holi was played in the temple with colors made from natural flowers.
