Bijapur. Major negligence has come to light in Mata Rukmini Dhanora Balika Ashram of Bijapur. Lizard was found in the food served to the children here, after which more than 35 children fell ill. One of these students has now died. At the same time, 35 children are still ill, out of which 9 children are said to be admitted in the ICU.
The deceased student Shivani Telam was referred to Medical College Jagdalpur late at night. The girl died in Bhairamgarh. She was originally a resident of Tumnar of Bijapur block. At the same time, the rest of the children are said to be admitted in the ICU of Bijapur District Hospital. The family alleged that the child died due to the negligence of the superintendent. The family also alleged that food was not being served as per the menu. The family has also alleged the use of expired cheese and milk in the food. The family has demanded action against such employees and officers.
