Liquor was being sold by making a roadside hut, arrested

Kurud. Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur has directed the station in-charges to run a continuous campaign to effectively curb anti-social activities and illegal liquor sales in the district. In this episode, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Megha Tembhurkar Sahu, under the leadership of SDOP Krishna Kumar Patel, station in-charge Kurud Niri.Deepa Kenwat had gone on the patrolling crime of Hamrah staff under the Kurud police station area, Jarayam Patasaji and liquor raid proceedings, that information was received from the informer. That a person is selling liquor illegally near village Bagaud Bhathapara Kurra Road hut by keeping a large quantity of liquor on the information that Hamrah staff conducted raid at the place told by informer, accused Vishnu Sahu father near village Bagaud Bhathapara Kurra Road hut Late Bodhaya Sahu, age 63, was caught selling liquor in Sakin Bagaud.

Liquor buyers ran away after seeing the police. On checking a yellow colored plastic bag kept with the accused, 23 pauvas of country spice, 18 pauvas of country plain liquor, total 41 pauvas of liquor, 180-180 ml sealed and wicky amount in each pauva, 320. /- was kept. Due to the absence of any valid documents in relation to the said liquor, the accused received 23 pauvas of country spice liquor worth Rs.2530/- and 18 pauvas of country plain liquor worth Rs.1440/- from accused Vishnu Sahu. Bulk liter sale amount of Rs.320/- Jumla worth Rs.4290/- was seized in front of the witness and arrested on the spot by registering an offense against the accused under section 34(2) Excise Act.

Station in-charge Kurud Niri Deepa Kenwat, Pr Lokesh Netam, Constable Mahesh Sahu, Manoj Sinha, Kishore Deshmukh had a special contribution in the above proceedings.
