Life Style: Nenua’s chutney, a special dish of Bihar

Lifestyle: If you have less time and want to try something other than the daily dal-sabzi, then Nenua Chutney is a very good option. Nenua is especially available in summers. It tastes like gourd, pumpkin, due to which eating it is a task. However, whether it is Nenua’s vegetable or chutney, it is ready in just 10 to 15 minutes. You can make chutney in many ways, so let’s know its quick chutney.

Recipe of Nenua Chutney First of all peel the Nenua with a knife. Then wash it thoroughly with water. Now cut it into long pieces. Now put oil in a pan. Put the chopped Nenua in it and fry it till it becomes soft. After this let it cool down well. Then put this Nenua in the mixer. Also grind it by adding whole red chillies, chopped green chillies, cumin, garlic, salt and lemon juice. Take it out in a bowl and serve.

You can also do these experiments 1. If the nenua is soft, then you can make it with the peel. 2. This chutney can also be made by boiling the nenua. 3. Wash the nenua and apply some oil on it and fry it on the gas, just like we fry brinjal for bharta. Then scrape off its peel with the help of a knife. Now cut it into pieces and put it in the mixer along with garlic, green chillies, cumin seeds, salt. Grind it finely. The nenua chutney is ready.

Tamarind can also be used in place of lemon juice in the chutney. 7. To increase the taste of the chutney, after grinding it, heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and white sesame seeds and fry for a few seconds, then pour it over the chutney.
