how to make tikki
To make Sabudana Tikki, first take Sabudana and soak it for about 4-5 hours. When the sago becomes soft, filter it by putting it in a sieve. When the water drains well from the sago, take it out in a big utensil. After this the potatoes will be cooked. When the potatoes are cooked well, peel them off, crush them and keep them in a bowl and mix the sago and potatoes well. Now roast the peanuts. After this, crush them well and mix them in the potato-sago mixture. Now add grated ginger, chopped coriander, green chillies, cumin powder, dry mango powder and salt as per taste to this mixture and mix everything together. Then leave a little of this mixture on the palms and make tikkis and keep them separately in a plate.
After making all the tikkis, take a non-stick frying pan/tawa and keep it aside for heating. Now put some oil on the griddle and spread it all around and bake the tikki on it. Flip the tikkis on both sides and apply some oil. When the Sabudana tikki turns golden brown and crisp from both the sides, take it out in a plate. Similarly, bake all the tikkis. If you want, you can also fry the Sabudana Tikki. Now you can serve this delicious Sabudana Tikki with tomato sauce or chutney.
