Kerala: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the ‘Kavacham’ (Kerala Warning Crisis and Hazard Management System) warning system of the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority on January 21 at 5 pm. Along with this, warning systems installed at six places in Thrissur will also be inaugurated.
Sirens have been installed at Nattika Govt. Fisheries Higher Secondary School Manalur Govt. ITA, Govt. Model Higher Secondary School (VHSS, Chalakudy), Kayampamangalam Govt. Fisheries Vocational Higher Secondary School. The State Disaster Management Authority said that the siren will sound on a trial basis after 5 pm on the inaugural day on January 21 and people need not panic.
