Japan lowers global economy forecast amid uncertainty over US trade policy

Business Business: The Japanese government lowered its assessment of the global economy on Thursday, particularly due to uncertainty over US trade policy. Japan also downgraded its assessment of the US economy for the first time in three years, saying its growth is slowing.
The government said in its May monthly economic report that “the global economy had been accelerating, but now growth has started to slow in some sectors, a result of uncertainty over US trade policy.
