Raipur. IPS GR Thakur has been given the responsibility of SP in-charge of Raipur. IPS GR Thakur took a meeting today as soon as he took charge. On the New Year events, he said that all police officers should patrol continuously with the patrolling team and take immediate action against the elements disturbing law and order. ADM, SDM and various police officers were present in the meeting.
Police will be deployed in plain clothes – action will be taken against parties that continue till late night on the first night of New Year. Police in plain uniform will be deployed around such restaurants and hotels. Also, surveillance will be done through CCTV cameras. If anyone is found creating ruckus or disrupting peace, strict action will be taken immediately.
