In the meeting of revenue officers, the status of farmer registration was reviewed and necessary guidelines were given

Durg. Durg. Collector Abhijeet Singh today reviewed the progress of farmer registration (farmer registry) by holding a meeting of the revenue officers of the district in the Collectorate hall. He directed to ensure registration of all eligible farmers on priority. Collector Abhijeet said that farmer registration is an important step towards digitization of the agriculture sector, which will increase transparency and the benefits of government schemes will reach the farmers directly. He directed all the Tehsildars that the farmers themselves should get registered quickly with the help of mobile app, Common Service Center or Patwari. It was informed in the meeting that last year 1,14,000 farmers had registered, whereas this year so far only 63,435 farmers have registered. The Collector directed to run a special campaign to achieve the target. In the farmer registration, the details of all agricultural land can be ensured as per the land records. There will be a facility to register the name of the heir landowner in place of the deceased landowner. Each plot will be registered in the name of one or more landholders. Aadhaar number of each landowner will be entered. It will be automatically updated when land records are corrected through purchase, sale, inheritance or partition of land.

Various revenue related works were thoroughly reviewed in the meeting. Collector Mr. Singh inquired about the status of undisputed transfer, partition, demarcation, map division, diversion, and revenue collection and directed to complete these works soon. He said that each Tehsildar should select five villages and identify the errors in the land records there and correct them in a timely manner. Along with this, instructions were given to update the work of digital signature, Aadhaar and mobile number entry on a daily basis with priority. The Collector also discussed in detail about the preparations for paddy procurement. He informed that currently 87 paddy procurement centers are operating in the district and land should be identified near the villages for new centers, so that there is no problem at the time of purchase. Along with this, while reviewing the waterlogging situation, he directed to identify temporary relief camps in flood-affected areas and ensure accommodation, food and other arrangements there in advance.

The Collector, while giving instructions to settle the disputed transfer cases soon, clarified that a Patwari should not have more than two areas. He asked to complete the work soon by fixing the date of demarcation report and to take prompt action by forming a team for map partition work. He also directed to organize training of Girdawari Surveyors and Revenue Inspectors this month. He was asked to update the list of eligible beneficiaries under Deendayal Upadhyay Bhumiheen Krishak Yojana, pay special attention to ensure that ineligible people do not get the benefit, and collect information of land allotment cases and ensure inspection of marked sites. Emphasis was laid on renewal of Nazul lease, recovery of Nazul revenue arrears and prompt resolution of pending cases. Strict instructions were given to make the transfer of death mandatory in cases related to land acquisition, to keep the records updated and to avoid any delay or pendency in any case. Instructions were also given in the meeting to take court cases seriously and take timely action by properly reviewing the orders.

The Collector said that no revenue related cases should be pending. He took detailed information from the Revenue Sub-Divisional Officers and Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars regarding the revenue cases pending in their courts. Apart from this, he also directed to resolve the pending cases of land acquisition and compensation payment, Bharatmala Project, Revenue Book Circular 6-4 cases immediately, so that there is no delay in providing compensation to the affected people. ADM Virendra Singh, Joint Collector Harvansh Miri and Lata Urvashi, SDM Lavkesh Dhruv, Sonal David, Mahesh Rajput, Deputy Collector Uttam Dhruv and Silli Thomas along with all Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars, ASLR were present in the meeting.
