The Food Department has raided the black business of illegally stealing diesel and petrol from Indian Oil’s Gopalpur depot and consuming it in the market. 3 tankers that came out of the depot have been seized. Along with this, the police have also seized 71 thousand liters of diesel and petrol. The case will be presented in the court under the Essential Commodities Act. Due to this action, there has been a stir among the mafia involved in illegal business of diesel and petrol. There is also a discussion about whose protection this black business was getting till now.
During the raid operation, the Food Department team caught the thieves red-handed while stealing diesel from a tanker. During this the tanker driver Rathram was also present on the spot. Which had left for Srishti Fuel Malkharoda, Sakti after taking diesel from the depot of Indian Oil, Gopalpur. But before that he was getting the diesel stolen by stopping in the yard. Action has also been taken against Rathram under the Essential Commodities Act. Along with this, the owner of the yard, Prabhu Jaiswal, has also been named as an accused. While another accused Ravi Tiwari escaped from the spot. Another tanker driver Mohammad Ishtiaq was also found on the spot. Who took petrol from Gopalpur depot and left for Deepika’s petrol pump. It was also filled with 24,000 liters of diesel.
