Hyderabad: Fed up with alleged molestation over not accepting his love proposal, a 16-year-old boy attacked a minor with a knife in Amberpet and then committed suicide in Vidyanagar on Thursday night.
The incident took place in Bagh Amberpet, when the girl and her sister were going to their home in the neighbourhood. According to the police, the boy had been harassing the girl for some time on the pretext of love.
Since it was my birthday on Friday, I thought of celebrating with the girl who was cutting pastels on Thursday. However, the girl refused to cut the pestle and the boy became angry and attacked her and his sister with a hose.
The suspect, who was the first to argue with the girl, attacked her with his weapon. He also punched his sister, who is a teacher by profession, while she was trying to avoid being punched. Both were shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment and their condition is stable.
Police said that fearing the consequences, the suspect went straight to Vidyanagar railway station and committed suicide by falling in front of a moving train. A mutilated body was recovered from the crime scene.
Amberpet police have registered the case and are investigating. The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem. More information will be obtained during additional research.
