Himachal Pradesh: Police on Monday said that 11 drug peddlers including the kingpin of Shah syndicate have been arrested. Shah syndicate is an inter-state illegal drug racket which mainly supplied heroin through a supply chain. The accused have been identified as syndicate kingpin Sandeep Shah, Neeraj Kashyap, resident of Delhi, Shubham Shandil, resident of Razhana village, Shimla, Sandeep Dhiman, resident of Razhana, Sanjay Verma, resident of Chamiyana village, Shimla, Vishal Mehta, resident of Lower Khalini, Shimla, Ashish, resident of Kotkhai, Shimla, Prajwal Jasta, resident of Panog village, Shimla, Nitin Khepan, resident of Shimla, Ankit, resident of Dodra Kwar, Shimla and Abhinav Kanwar, resident of Theog, Shimla. While the drug peddlers were arrested on January 25 and 26, Neeraj was arrested by the police from Delhi on January 19 while Shah was arrested by the police on January 16 from Kolkata, West Bengal from where he was brought to the state. Shimla SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said a supply chain was operating with the help of online booking through various social media platforms, indicating a well-organised syndicate.
