High tension tower collapsed, the company suffered a loss of 50 lakhs

Korba. Three high-tension towers of 400 KV power transmission company Pareshan collapsed due to the strong wind. The company has suffered a loss of up to Rs 50 lakh due to the incident near village Madan. Investigation revealed that there was no angle at the bottom of the tower. Because of this, a complaint has also been lodged in the police station expressing the apprehension of theft. It will take 1 month to install three new towers.

The transmission company has laid 400 KV high tension tower line from Hasdeo Thermal Power Plant Korba West Plant Complex to Khedamar and Madwa in Bhilai. It rained with strong winds in the area on Friday. Meanwhile, 3 tower lines passing near village Madan’s pond between Pali to Chaitma collapsed. Company officials reached the spot and started power supply from another line. After investigation, the officials found that the bottom angle of the tower was missing.
