Greater Noida: Unknown suspects in Greater Noida allegedly looted ₹9 lakh from a cash agent who had come to collect cash from a plywood firm in the Site-4 industrial area of Greater Noida on Friday morning, senior police officials said. An FIR has been registered in this regard at the Beta-2 police station. According to Greater Noida Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Kumar, the victim has been identified as Santosh Kumar (34), a resident of Anand Vihar in Delhi. Santosh had come to a plywood showroom in Site-4 industrial area of Greater Noida on his two-wheeler to collect cash.
When he was leaving the showroom with ₹9 lakh cash, he was stopped by two unidentified men on another motorcycle. They snatched his bag containing the cash and fled from the spot. The owner of the plywood showroom, identified as Mudit by his first name, has lodged a complaint at the Beta-2 police station, Kumar said. An FIR has been registered against the unidentified assailants under Section 392 (dacoity) of the Indian Penal Code. CCTV cameras in the area are being scanned to identify and trace the suspects.” He said this was the first time Santosh had come to Greater Noida to withdraw cash.
