Governor Ramen Deka held an important meeting at Raj Bhawan

Raipur: Governor Deka held an introductory meeting of the officers and employees working at Raj Bhawan today. He stressed on the participation of every citizen to avoid the ill-effects of climate change and environmental pollution. On this occasion, Secretary to Governor Shri Yashwant Kumar, Legal Advisor Shri Bhishma Prasad Pandey, along with Raj Bhawan officials were present.

Governor Deka said that everyone will have to make efforts to save energy. Unnecessary electricity should not be wasted. Apart from this, water bottles should be used as little as possible to avoid plastic pollution. Cleanliness should be taken care of in the environment around us.

He said that on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, everyone should plant trees under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” and inspire others too. Governor Shri Deka stressed on increasing the activities of Red Cross in the state, especially in tribal areas and said that Red Cross should play an active role in taking care of the health of women in tribal areas. He also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action against TB. Took information about the work being done in Chhattisgarh under the Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The Governor said that more efforts will have to be made to promote organic farming in the state. The work going on in the aspiring districts of the state should be monitored regularly. The Governor said that the universities should be directed to take action for recruitment in the vacant posts in all the universities of the state so that the students can get quality education. He directed to work towards digitization and creating a digital library in the office. Apart from this, he inspired everyone to be alert towards cyber crimes and also make others aware.

Governor Deka, after knowing the news of the courageous girl who saved her father’s life by fighting the Naxalites in Narayanpur district, published in today’s newspaper, directed to call her to the Raj Bhavan and honor her.
