Girl forced to commit suicide by stalkers in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: A teenager named Kalyani allegedly committed suicide in Kukkadam village under Madgulappally police station in Nalgonda. Villagers blamed two youths, Ariri Siva and Kommanaboyna Madhu, for her death, alleging that the two were constantly following and harassing the girl. They said she was scared of their calls and unsolicited messages in search of her love. According to villagers, the two youths had threatened that they would upload her photographs on social media platforms if she did not respond positively.
When they continued to issue threats even in the absence of her parents, she allegedly took her own life by consuming pesticide. Her brother had left for college at the time of the incident. It is learnt that she had called her parents and informed them about her decision to end her life. After being alerted by her parents, neighbours admitted her to Miryalaguda Hospital and later to the District Headquarters Hospital in Nalgonda. However, she died during treatment on Wednesday. After the girl’s death, her family members staged a sit-in protest with the body on the Addanki-Narketpalli highway. They calmed down after the police assured them of strict action against those responsible for the girl’s death.
