Gas Leakage In Karachi Building 16 Killed In Explosion

Karachi: An explosion occurred in Karachi, Pakistan. A gas leak caused an explosion in a residential building. 16 people died in the accident. Women and children were among the dead. The accident took place in the Soldier Bazaar area of Karachi. Officials said that the accident took place in a building in the Gul Rana Colony area. The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital. ASP Jamshed Asher said that it is known that a gas leakage explosion took place on the first floor of the building at 4.15 am.
. Rescue team officer Dr. Abid Jalaluddin Sheikh said that a part of the building collapsed due to the gas explosion. He said that the three-storey building has small rooms and the limited space made the rescue operation a challenge. The dead included eight miners, four women and four men. Seven miners were injured.
