Karachi: An explosion occurred in Karachi, Pakistan. A gas leak caused an explosion in a residential building. 16 people died in the accident. Women and children were among the dead. The accident took place in the Soldier Bazaar area of ​​Karachi. Officials said that the accident took place in a building in the Gul Rana Colony area. The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital. ASP Jamshed Asher said that it is known that a gas leakage explosion took place on the first floor of the building at 4.15 am.

He said that the three-storey building has small rooms and the limited space made the rescue operation a challenge. The dead included eight miners, four women and four men.
