Recognizing the community’s deep emotional attachment to the temple, the Governor immediately conducted a site visit to assess the impact on the Dikchu Shiva Temple. Additionally, the Governor rushed to Fidang village in Lum Gor Sangtok GPU of Lower Dzonghu, where two bridges and seven houses were washed away in flash floods. Lum Gor Sangtok Panchayat Chairman Dawa Dorji Lepcha briefed the Governor about the damage and the current situation in the area. The Governor reiterated the State’s commitment in providing prompt and comprehensive assistance to the affected areas in coordination with the Central Government. The Governor was also accompanied by Gangtok SDM Suresh Rai, Tintech BDO Kishore Thapa and Dikchung Jang Ward Panchayat Tilak Sharma.
