Gang rape victim climbed on the water tank, made a demand to the police

Gonda: On Tuesday, a girl climbed on a water tank in the Commissioner’s Office premises at Gonda district headquarters in Uttar Pradesh, alleging that no action was taken in the gang rape case. After about 5 hours of effort, the girl was brought down after being persuaded. The police gave this information. The girl alleged that the police did not take any action in the case of gang rape against her and instead sent the final report in the case registered.

The Additional Superintendent of Police (East) said here that on Tuesday, the victim girl had come to the district headquarters with her parents to meet senior police officers. Rawat said that at around 12 noon, the victim girl climbed on the water tank in the Divisional Commissioner’s Office, alleging that the police was protecting the accused. On receiving the information about the incident, senior police and administrative officials immediately reached the spot and after about 5 hours of efforts, the girl was brought down by assuring that appropriate action would be taken in the case.
