UP. A joint team of city and Kotwali rural police arrested former Ghazipur MLA Subhash Pasi from Mumbai for cheating two people including Ruchi Goyal, sister of Yogi government’s Excise Minister of State Nitin Agarwal. The police were looking for the former MLA and his wife in a fraud and gangster case registered against them. The wife is being searched. The former MLA will be produced in court on Thursday.
Prakash Chandra Gupta, a resident of Railwayganj Mohalla in the city Kotwali area, had lodged a report on October 10, 2023. In this, he had told that former MLA Subhash Pasi, a resident of Ghazipur, lives in Juhu Church Balraj Sahni Road Number Three Petla Plot Number 658 in Mumbai city.
Prakash met Subhash and his wife Reena through neighbor Akshay Agarwal. He was told that Subhash works in property. Saying that there is a flat in Aram Nagar, Mumbai, he was offered to buy it for Rs 2.5 crore. On this, Prakash Chandra took him to Ruchi Goyal in Vetganj. Ruchi is Nitin Agarwal’s sister. Here, in the presence of many people, Ruchi gave a cheque of Rs 49 lakh to Subhash and his wife Reena. Reena deposited the cheque in her account and withdrew the money. A few days later, she handed over fake papers of the flat and did not even give the flat.
