Mumbai : Former Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi died in a hospital in Mumbai on Friday. Sources related to his family gave this information. Sources said that former Maharashtra Chief Minister Joshi was admitted to the ICU of PD Hinduja Hospital here on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack where he breathed his last. The hospital had said in a statement on Thursday that the condition of Joshi (86) was very critical. Joshi, one of the veteran leaders of Shiv Sena, was admitted to this hospital after suffering a brain attack in May last year. Joshi was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1995 to 1999 and was the first leader from the undivided Shiv Sena to become the Chief Minister of the state. Joshi was also elected Member of Parliament and was the Speaker of the Lok Sabha from 2002 to 2004 in the government of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
