Bagbasa police on Sunday arrested four women and a youth from Bihar with ganja. During the search at the Naka point of Bagbasa police at around 11:30 in the morning, the police searched a passenger bus and brought four women and a young man to the police station.
Upon searching him, a total of twenty kilograms of dry ganja in twenty-two packets of different sizes was recovered on his body and in his bag. Dharmanagar sub-divisional police officer Debashish Saha said, “The black market price of which is around Rs 4 lakh.”
He further said, “Those arrested include Meena Devi, Sakila Devi, Vibha Devi, Pooja Devi and Rajeev Prasad. All of them are residents of Patna and Muzaffar districts of Bihar. The arrested people will be handed over to Dharmanagar District and Sessions Court on Monday.
