Raigarh. This morning, some persons were running away on a two-wheeler axle vehicle after stealing tin-iron lying near the tower of Visa Power Plant located at village Deori Doomarpali under Bhupdevpur police station. The security guards of the plant caught five persons and informed the station in-charge Bhupdevpur. On information, police station in-charge Bhupdevpur Inspector Ram Kinkar reached the spot along with his staff and detained five accused – Ranjit Kumar Das, Aruf Kumar Das, Abdul Ansari, Kabul Hussain and Karim Sheikh alias Saheb, who were running away after stealing the scape. Who were brought to Bhupadvepur police station along with their 05 super axle mopeds and scrap metal loaded in them.
Scrap and moped seized from the accused-
(1) Ranjit Kumar Das, father Kishori Mohan Das, age 42 years, resident of Chhatamuda Bypass WSAV, rented house, permanent address, about 60 kg of iron/tin scrap loaded in Super Excel CG 13 AS-1884 of Sakidpuri police station, Sutiwan district, Murshidabad (West Bengal).
(2) Aruf Kumar Das, father, Kishori Mohan Das, age 42 years, resident of Chhatamuda Bypass WSAV, rented house, permanent address, about 50 kg iron/tin scrap loaded in Super Excel CG 13 AS-0802 of Sakidpuri police station, Sutiwan district, Murshidabad (West Bengal).
(3) Abdul Ansari, father Tastar Ali, age 35 years, resident of Sahadevpali, near Turkumuda School, police station Jutmill, permanent address Khanpur, police station Suti-02, district Murshidabad (West Bengal), about 55 kg iron/tin scrap in Super Excel CG 13 AQ-1379.
(4) Kabul Hussain father Manku Sheikh age 34 years resident Sahadevpali Turkumuda police station Jute Mill permanent address Raghunathpur police station Suti-01 district Murshidabad (West Bengal) About 65 kg iron/tin scrap in Super Excel CG 13 AW-1978.

(5) Karim Shaikh alias Saheb, father Rashid Ali, age 28 years, resident of Babugrill Fabrication, in front of Chaudhary Auto, Chhatamuda, Turkumuda police station, Jute Mill, permanent address, Khanpur police station, Cotton-02, District Murshidabad (West Bengal), loaded in Super Excel CG 13 AW-2413, approx. 55 kg iron/tina scap.
A total of 285 kg iron/tin scrap worth about ₹12,000 has been seized from the possession of the accused. On the written application of plant security guard Daya Sagar Sahu (26 years), resident of village Doomarpali regarding scrap theft, FIR was registered against the accused in Bhupdevpur police station. 45/2024, an offense under section 380,34 IPC has been registered and the accused have been sent on judicial remand. Police station in-charge Bhudevpur inspector Ramkinkar Yadav, assistant sub-inspector Balkrishna Dansena, head constable Shambhu Pandey, constable Bodram Sidar, Murali Manohar Patel, Vijay Patel and Krishna Kumar Warren were involved in the proceedings.
