The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Jammu & Kashmir Chapter Chairman, Rajesh Sharma, called on Secretary, Roads and Buildings (R&B Department, Bhupinder Kumar and held discussions on infrastructure development in the region.
The meeting aimed to explore collaborative strategies for advancing infrastructure development in the region.The meeting, held in Jammu, brought together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to deliberate on pressing issues concerning the enhancement of infrastructure in Jammu & Kashmir.
FICCI, as a prominent voice representing the business community, reiterated its commitment to fostering economic growth and development in the region. During the discussion, Sharma emphasized the significance of robust infrastructure for facilitating trade, commerce, and overall socio-economic progress in Jammu & Kashmir.
He highlighted the pivotal role that collaborative efforts between the Government and Industry players can play in accelerating infrastructure projects and overcoming challenges.
Secy R&B, Bhupinder Kumar, extended his appreciation for FICCI’s proactive engagement and constructive inputs. He underscored the Government’s commitment to prioritizing infrastructure development as a cornerstone of its agenda for the region’s prosperity.
The meeting witnessed fruitful exchanges of ideas and identified key areas of focus for collaboration, including but not limited to accelerating the pace of ongoing infrastructure projects, exploring innovative financing mechanisms for infrastructure development, addressing regulatory bottlenecks and streamlining approval processes and leveraging technology for efficient project management and monitoring.
FICCI and the R&B Department affirmed their shared commitment to working closely to realize the vision of a modern and resilient infrastructure landscape in Jammu & Kashmir.
