Father and son arrested for harassing a student, both sent to jail

Bilaspur: On Sunday evening, the victim student who went to fetch water from the tap in Sipat area told that Sunil Kumar Suryavanshi (27) living in Sipat molested her. When she protested, the youth beat her up. When the student shouted during the fight, the youth’s father Radheshyam Suryavanshi (58) came there.

He took his son’s side and molested her while beating her. During this time, the villagers also reached there. Seeing this, the father and son left from there. The student reached the police station and informed the police about the whole matter.

DSP Udayan Behar said that a 12th class student living in Sipat area has complained of molestation. On this, the police have registered a case of molestation and assault and arrested the father and son. The police have presented the accused father and son in the court.
