Dhamtari. Assistant Sub-Inspector (Sub-Inspector) Dilharan Singh Thakur, a senior member of the police family, was given a respectful farewell today for his long, exemplary, and dedicated service. Recruited as a constable in Raipur district in 1983, he served the department continuously for 42 years, 03 months, and 11 days. During his service, he was posted at various police stations and offices and always discharged his duties with discipline, dedication, and honesty.
A farewell ceremony was held at the Superintendent of Police’s office in Dhamtari on the occasion of his retirement. Superintendent of Police Suraj Singh Parihar honored Sub-Inspector Dilharan Singh Thakur by presenting him with a shawl, a coconut, and gifts, and praised his long service.
In his address, the Superintendent of Police said, “During his 42 years of service, Sub-Inspector Dilharan Singh Thakur has held the dignity and discipline of the department paramount. He has performed his duties with loyalty, honesty, and dedication. Working under the guidance of senior officers, he has always enhanced the department’s reputation. I wish him a bright future, good health, and family happiness and prosperity.”
Colleagues praised Sub-Inspector Dilharan Singh Thakur’s simple, gentle, and cooperative demeanor, noting that he always maintained respect and cooperation with everyone. Everyone wished him good health, a happy family life, and a long life. Upon retirement, he was given a respectful farewell to his residence in a government vehicle.
