Raigarh. Rairumakhurd sub-inspector Ainu Kumar Dewangan received information about the murder of Salikram Rathiya (aged 45 years) of the village by his relatives over a land dispute, in village Rajkot under Rairumakhurd police station, on the evening of 24th February. As soon as the information was received, the outpost in-charge informed the senior officers and immediately reached the spot with his staff. Natthulal Rathiya of village Rajkot told that Mahendra Ram Rathiya, father-in-law of deceased Salikram Rathiya, has 24 acres of land in the village.
Mahendra Ram died 20 years ago. There is a dispute between Mahendra Rathiya’s two daughters Malti Rathiya and Gulapi Bai regarding the distribution of 24 acres of land. Malti’s husband Salik Ram and Gulapi Bai’s husband Ramlal keep quarreling over the distribution of land. They say that Ramlal has kept more land in his share and Salikram is doing farming in about 7 acres of land. On the evening of 24th February, Ramlal Rathiya was standing with his neighbor Nand Kishore Rathiya near Bazaar Chowk.
At the same time, Salikram came and started telling Ramlal that it should be divided equally. Seeing the quarrel between the two, Ramlal’s wife Gulapi Bai and her son Dabludhar came from the house with a stick and a stick, after which all four hands entered, beat Salikram with a stick and a big stone and killed him by seriously injuring his head with a stone. . Outpost in-charge Rairumakhurd has registered a case of murder against the four accused and immediately detained the accused. The body has been sent for post-mortem after Panchanama proceedings, the legs used in the incident, a big stone with blood on it, Dandav and other important evidence have been seized from the spot and the accused. The arrested accused will be sent on judicial remand tomorrow.
