DMK government implementing AIADMK projects by changing their names: AIADMK leadership

Tamil Nadu: The AIADMK party leadership has accused the DMK government of renaming AIADMK projects and implementing them as new ones.

A post published on the official X-Site page of the AIADMK headquarters on Sunday stated: For the past four and a half years, the DMK government has done nothing but paste stickers on AIADMK projects. In this context, it is amusing that DMK ministers are now claiming they are making AIADMK election promises in the name of the DMK.

The ‘Amma Pharmacy’, launched during the AIADMK regime, has now been renamed the ‘Prime Minister’s Pharmacy.’ Similarly, if we keep listing the ‘Amma Mini Clinics’ – Medicine for People in Search of Meals, Gold for Plates – Innovative Women’s Scheme, then everything the DMK government claims to be implementing is actually AIADMK schemes.

To ensure direct benefits to women, the 2021 Assembly Election Manifesto announced that 1,000 rupees would be given as a supplement to 1,000 rupees. Women would receive 1,500 rupees per month.

However, the DMK government is only providing 1,000 rupees per month. This scheme was implemented only after repeated requests from AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami.

The post states that people are well aware that if Edappadi K. Palaniswami makes a promise, it will be fulfilled. The DMK also understands this.
